Why We Made this Film
Capturing emissions from a truck’s tailpipe: it’s conceptually a simple solution to climate change, but logistically it’s quite challenging.
With 2 million semi-trucks in the U.S. contributing to nearly 5% of the country’s emissions, we knew the Remora story was one we had to tell.
The company’s revolutionary device mounts onto semi-trucks between the tractor and its trailer. By taking in at least 80% of its carbon emissions, the device can capture over 135 metric tons of CO2 per year. That’s equivalent to planting 6,200 trees. The device has a minimal impact on payload compared to what a battery would be and offers fleet operators a low-cost approach to decarbonize immediately.
