about VSC VEntures

Storytelling is our superpower

VSC Ventures is built on the core thesis that it has become easier than ever before to start a startup, but harder than ever for a company to break out or get noticed.

Our award-winning comms firm has represented over 800+ startups incl. 3 IPOs, 16 unicorns, and 50+ exits. Storytelling is our superpower. We’ll invest at Seed & Series A and go to work for you!

Our Investment Approach

How & when
we invest

/ 01

Seed-Stage

While we can invest from pre-seed all the way to Series A, the Seed stage is where we specialise. We want to be part of your first institutional round of funding. We invest between $250K — $500K as a first check into our companies.

/ 02

Active Co-Investors

We DON’T lead rounds. We DO co-invest alongside qualified lead investors and partner with them on PR, storytelling & distribution. We are happy to meet you before you have a lead investor, but ultimately won't invest until a lead is in place.

/ 03

Hands on Support

We believe investors should work for their pro rata so we like to be active partners with our founders on any and all relevant topics. If you prefer to have silent capital, we’re not going to be a fit for you.

Investment Thesis

We invest at the intersection of Climate & Industrial Automation

Climate Adaptation

Adapting to climate change is the single most impactful problem facing our species. Legacy industries like manufacturing account for 19% of global emissions, while road transportation accounts for 16% and shipping accounts for 8%, respectively. The biggest impacts of climate adaptation and decarbonization will come from legacy industries.

Industrial Automation

These same legacy industries face another major headwind: human beings no longer want to do those jobs. The U.S. construction industry has 650K job openings, while the manufacturing sector has over 700K unfilled jobs. Legacy industries have barely begun to leverage automation to address declining quality and delayed work products caused by these growing workforce shortages.
